Does Coffee And Lemon Help You Lose Weight

Finally lose a few pounds: At TikTok, many swear by coffee with lemon juice as a super diet drink. It is unclear whether the admittedly very blatant customer successes on TikTok are really real. Nevertheless, we wanted to know whether the sour coffee could make you shed a few pounds – and asked nutrition expert Nora Rieder what she thinks about the trend. So much can already be revealed: Coffee and lemon  are actually true diet miracle cures.

Can Coffee With Lemon Really Help You Lose Weight?

Can Coffee With Lemon Really Help You Lose Weight? We asked an expert. Nutritionist Nora Rieder promises: “Regular consumption of coffee with lemon can support weight loss.” But at the same time she takes the wind out of the sails of the slimmer, because: “Who eats as before, moves little and simply has an additional cup of black Drinking coffee with lemon a day will not lose weight.”

It’s not that easy with the diet drink after all. The ecotrophologist explains why the slimming product can still work:

“The caffeine in coffee stimulates the nervous system. Caffeine stimulates heart activity, increases blood pressure and body temperature. So the entire metabolism is pushed – and fat burning is also stimulated. But this alone does not melt or disappear the fat deposits. Rather, they have to be burned off – for example through sufficient exercise. Otherwise, the body stores them again. Caffeine can therefore only support fat burning in combination with sufficient exercise.”

And the one with the lemon isn’t too thick either:

“Vitamin C is considered the fat burner among nutrients. It plays an important role in the body’s own production of carnitine, which in turn supports fat breakdown. In addition, vitamin C – like caffeine – boosts the metabolism and boosts fat burning. In addition, vitamin C has a central function in the production of the hormone norepinephrine, which among other things controls our appetite. In addition, lemons contain a lot of potassium, which has a draining effect. Thus, vitamin C can facilitate weight loss in different ways.”

Incidentally, foods that taste sour or bitter inhibit appetite. A glass of coffee with lemon weight loss can therefore not hurt when losing weight.

Lemon with coffee also helps with headaches

A cup of strong coffee or espresso with the juice of half a lemon can provide relief for severe headaches or migraines . Nora Rieder also has the explanation for this in her luggage:

“The caffeine it contains causes the blood vessels in the brain, which are dilated during migraines, to constrict, which reduces the blood flow rate and relieves the pain.”

And here, too, a combination of coffee and lemon is a real helper:

“The vitamin C (ascorbic acid) contained in lemons stimulates the formation of a messenger substance that quickly relieves pain. This is also the reason why vitamin C is added to many painkillers – it speeds up their action.”

And a cup of coffee with lemon does not harm the skin either

Caffeine is more than a stimulant – the substance is said to have anti-aging properties . And that is also true, as nutrition expert Nora Rieder says:

“Coffee is rich in antioxidants such as polyphenols, which help prevent oxidative stress. And since oxidative stress is considered one of the main triggers for the aging process, this explains the positive effect of coffee on skin aging.”

The lemon is also a miracle for the skin – the vitamin C in particular ensures a radiant complexion:

“Vitamin C has an antioxidant effect, which means it neutralizes free radicals that are produced in the body by UV radiation, smoking, stress or even during sports. It protects the skin from irritation, inflammation and pigment spots. In addition, vitamin C is involved in the formation of collagen and thus ensures smooth skin by preventing wrinkles. It also gives dull and blotchy skin a visible glow.”

Not everyone likes coffee and lemon. But with such a miracle drink you literally have to bite the bullet, or rather – drink the sour coffee.
